👑 How to be successful! 🌟
“So above all, constantly chase after the realm of God’s kingdom and the righteousness that proceeds from him. Then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly.”
Matthew 6:33 The Passion Translation (TPT)

The world sees success as being rich and famous – having stuff and being able to get whatever stuff you desire. Many people have a lot of stuff and yet inside of themselves they are bitter, unhappy or depressed; their relationships are dysfunctional, their marriages are falling apart, and they aren’t excited about life. As believers, we need to stop imitating the cultures and values of the world (Romans 12:2) and we must redefine success in our hearts according to how God sees it. Unless we actively renew our minds to God’s values we will aim at the wrong things in life – things that aren’t all that important. When we make provision, riches, fame or even influence (all less important stuff) our aim and focus we will miss God and His kingdom. We might obtain the stuff we desire but we will not obtain peace, satisfaction and contentment which is only found in having God and His kingdom as our focus. When we have God and His kingdom as our focus and priority then the less important stuff is given to us, abundantly.

“13 Just then someone spoke up from the crowd and said, “Master, you should tell my older brother that he has to divide the family inheritance and give me my fair share!”
14 Jesus answered, “My friend, you can’t expect me to help you with this. It’s not my business to settle arguments between you and your brother—that’s yours to settle.”
15 Speaking to the people, Jesus continued, “Be alert and guard your heart f
rom greed and always wishing for what you don’t have. For your life can never be measured by the amount of things you possess.”
16 Jesus then gave them this illustration: “A wealthy
land owner had a farm that produced bumper crops. In fact, it filled his barns to overflowing! 17 He thought, ‘What should I do now that every barn is full and I have nowhere else to store more? 18 I know what I’ll do! I’ll tear down the barns and build one massive barn that will hold all my grain and goods. 19 Then I can just sit back, surrounded with comfort and ease. I’ll enjoy life with no worries at all.’
20 “God said to him, ‘What a fool you are to trust in your riches and not in me. This very night the messengers of death are demanding to take your life. Then who will get all the wealth you have stored up for yourself?’ 21 This is what will happen to all those who fill up their lives with everything but God.”
22 Jesus taught his disciples, saying, “Listen to me. Never let anxiety enter your hearts. Never worry about any of your needs, such as food or clothing.”
Luke 12:13-22 The Passion Translation (TPT)

The world defines success by what you have, but Jesus says to guard your heart against greed and lust (wanting what you don’t have) because success isn’t in what you have but in Who you have.  It’s foolish (unwise) to trust in riches (temporal) rather than in God (Who is eternal). Fill your life with God.

Yes, God does want you to be well provided for and He wants you to enjoy stuff but provision, stuff, wealth and everything that wealth can obtain should never be our primary focus. Many believers fill their lives with hobbies, holidays and all sorts of things that can only minister to their emotions and flesh for a brief period. Seeking anything other than God to make us happy, content or bring us some peace will be tiresome and disappointing because the results are never guaranteed and the results never last. Seeking God first and prioritizing a relationship with Him above all else will result in true satisfaction, peace, joy and success.

True success is in knowing God and doing life out of a relationship with Him.
