Common Questions

  1. WHAT ARE YOUR SUNDAY SERVICES LIKE?

When you arrive you’ll be welcomed by friendly greeters and ushered into the building where (at most campuses) you’ll be able to get a cup of tea or coffee (if you arrive before the service starts). 5-minutes before the service starts we have a countdown and we start our services with some singing (worship) after which we give a few announcements and then we have about a 40 to 50 minute teaching. After the teaching we share in a time of Communion and ministry. Once we close the service we have a time of fellowship and refreshments are served.

Our services are from 1.5 hours to 2 hours max. We have a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for the whole family. Please check under locations for a campus near you, and see what they specifically offer with regard to moms, toddlers, children and more.

  2. WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I VISIT FOR THE FIRST TIME?

If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We want you to feel welcome and comfortable. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for awhile—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.

On your first visit, please visit our resource table and be sure to fill in a “Guest Connect Card” in return for a gift. We will send you one email to thank you for visiting us and tell you how to connect further with us, should you wish to do so.

  3. WHAT DO I WEAR?

You’ll find that people dress comfortably at GraceLife. You are welcome to dress as you’d like to because it is not about what you look like or what you wear.

  4. WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?

Children are important to us! Many of our campuses have a moms feeding room and a toddler room where the services are streamed to for your convenience. Moms are well looked after here! We also have a great children’s church at most campuses – please check under locations for details about the campus closest to you. If for some reason you wish to keep your children with you during the service you, you are most welcome to do so. We try to facilitate a family-friendly environment. We just ask that if you do keep them in the service, please sit near the back and if they start to disrupt others, please be so kind as to go to the toddler room or with them to children’s church.

  5. HOW CAN I MEET OTHERS AND GET CONNECTED?

Church is all about community. If you aren’t connecting with others and building meaningful relationships, you are seriously missing out. Your first step is to complete a “guest connect card” at the resource table so that we can stay in touch with you. Then we can also invite you to our next “Connect & Belong” dinner where you will meet some of the leaders and get to know the church a bit better. We also encourage you to join a LifeGroup where you will be able to study the Word and be encouraged and refreshed as you connect with like-minded believers.

  6. HOW CAN I BE DISCIPLED AND GROW?

Our desire is to help you get established in the truth of the Word and grow as a believer in Christ. Our “Growth Track” is designed to help you in your journey of growth.

  7. WHY DO YOU HAVE LFEGROUPS?

Small groups are an important part of life at GraceLife; in fact, you haven’t fully experienced the church until you’ve experienced our LifeGroups. They allow you to meet other members and develop relationships that will help you grow in your relationship with God. LifeGroups allow us to “stay small” and connected as the church grows in numbers. We have a variety of LifeGroups in many different areas. Visit our LifeGroup page for more information.

  8. WHY DO YOU HAVE WORSHIP ON MP3?

Most of our campuses have worship/ singing on MP3. We know that most people prefer a live band, and we used to have one, but due to a number of factors our leadership felt that we should stick with MP3 worship until such a time that we have a strong band. Once you get over the initial shock of it (because it is different) you will find that it works quite well and that our people really enjoy it.

  9. WHY DO YOU HAVE COMMUNION AT EVERY SERVICE?

We most often serve communion at every service because it always brings our focus back to Jesus and His victory for us. This time has developed into a great time of ministry for us as we focus on our Saviour and celebrate the finished work.
