Complete ✅
“And our own completeness is now found in him. We are completely filled with God as Christ’s fullness overflows within us. He is the Head [source] of every kingdom and authority in the universe!”
Colossians 2:10 The Passion Translation (TPT) – brackets are TPT footnotes
A lot of Christians I talk to see themselves as deficient. They feel completely inadequate when the Bible says that they are complete. When we see ourselves as incomplete we will never rise to the potential that God has placed in us. When we see ourselves as incomplete we tend to get onto the hamster-wheel of trying to get complete. This keeps us busy but, in the busyness, we’re going nowhere. It’s like a dog chasing its own tail or a donkey trying to get the carrot dangling on a string in front of it at the end of a stick.
The problem with many Christians is that we don’t see ourselves as we truly are. We tend to go by our feelings which tell us that we aren’t good enough and don’t have what it takes but the Bible shows us that we are complete because we are in Christ. We need to see ourselves as God sees us – as we truly are – and when we do we will start to rise up and live extraordinary lives!
“Everything we could ever need for life and complete devotion to God has already been deposited in us by his divine power. For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing him who has called us by name and invited us to come to him through a glorious manifestation of his goodness.”
2 Peter 1:3 The Passion Translation (TPT)
You have everything you need for life and godliness because you are now in Christ – you are complete in Him! You may look at your natural circumstances, or inspect your feelings and say that that’s not true for you, but the reality is that the completeness is in your spirit and as you acknowledge and recognize who you are and what you have in the spirit, it will start to manifest more in the physical and in your emotions (Philemon 1:6).
“Living within you is the Christ who floods you with the expectation of glory!”
Colossians 1:27a The Passion Translation (TPT)
“Have you forgotten that your body is now the sacred temple of the Spirit of Holiness, who lives in you? You don’t belong to yourself any longer, for the gift of God, the Holy Spirit, lives inside your sanctuary.”
1 Corinthians 6:19 The Passion Translation (TPT)
Not only are we complete in Christ, but we are also completely full of Him. You are full of God – you are His dwelling place! Religion tells us that we are far from God and that we need to get more of Him in our lives, but the Bible tells us that we are full of Him. An unbeliever needs to get more of God in them, but as a believer, you need to let more of Him out of you.
You are complete in Christ and He is completely in you!
