Update from Shayne and Marna

by

Dear Partners and friends,

Vlog

This past month we celebrated the greatest event in all of history – the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We celebrated everything that Jesus did and that He did it for us. Our Easter services were our best Easter services we’ve ever had. Not only did we have record numbers, but people were greatly impacted by the Word, and we had a number of healings!

On Good Friday we focused on It is Finished and what that means for us, today. We looked at how Jesus came to reverse what Adam did. You can watch or listen to the message online. On Easter Sunday we enjoyed focussing on the resurrection and how Jesus rose to make us right with God (to justify us). This message will certainly enrich your life and help you grow in your relationship with God. Easter Sunday’s messages are also available online in video and audio format.

Ministry update

This past month has been a full but fruitful one. I have continued travelling up to Pretoria every second week to minister at a midweek service. The whole purpose of these trips is to invest into the life of the  life of the church, and it certainly had drawn in more people and enriched the GraceLife community there. We have continuously had new people coming and seen people receive healing. We will continue with this investment into Pretoria for the time being, but look forward to sending a permanent leader there in August who will help to further establish the work there.

We have also invested a lot into Stellenbosch over the past month through a weekly leadership discipleship group and weekly ministry training. We believe in equipping the saints for the work of the ministry, and that’s exactly what we have been doing.

In South Africa this past month, we had a national day of prayer and Christians were called together to pray. I made a few statements concerning this on social media and experienced more attention than I expected. We can all agree that in almost every nation on the planet we need revival, but I don’t believe that we’re going about seeking revival the way the Bible teaches it. Getting as many Christians together in prayer to repent for the sins in the nation and to ask God to move is not going to produce revival. Prayer is important, but not the way we’re going about it. To help clarify what I said on social media I have recorded a series of short videos explaining what I believe the Bible teaches on Prayer and Revival. You can watch these videos online here. Through these videos we have reached new people around the world, and have had an overwhelming positive response. Praise God!

We are growing and reaching more and more people with this glorious message of God’s unconditional love and grace through the finished work of Jesus. We are continually receiving testimonies of healing and of people’s lives being radically changed as they experience God’s goodness through this ministry.

People’s lives are changing and great things are happening, and we want to thank you for helping to make it possible through your generous partnership! Through the generosity of our partners we are enabled to plant churches and run the ones we have. It’s also through our partners that we are able to reach many more people online through our website, online teaching resources and the live-streaming of our services. Thank you for being a part of this ministry.

Much love,

Shayne & Marna
