Full of God! - Saturday, 27 January

“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?”
1 Corinthians 6:19 NKJV

It’s important that we as believers see ourselves as God sees us because we cannot consistently act in a way that is inconsistent with how we see ourselves. If you see yourself as full of sin or full of evil then you’ll do a lot of sin and evil. The truth is that you’re not full of sin or evil – you were, but you got born again and now you are full of God!

“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.”
Proverbs 23:7 NKJV

The way that you’ll see yourself and the way that you think determines the way you live. It’s not the way that you are that determines the way that you live but rather it’s the way that you think in your heart. It’s out of the heart that all the issues of life flow (Proverbs 4:23). What you think in your heart – what you believe – about yourself is vital because it determines the course of your life.

You may be a gifted athlete with the ability to compete and even win gold at the Olympics, but if you don’t think that you have what it takes and if you think that you aren’t good enough, you’ll never reach your potential to do so. If you don’t think like an Olympic gold medalist – like a winner – you’ll never be one. Like Henry Ford said, Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t – you’re right.

“Little children, you are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world.”
1 John 4:4 AMPC

Do you believe God’s Word or do you believe what you think, see, hear and feel? God’s Word says that you are more than a conqueror through Christ (Romans 8:37). As long as you don’t see yourself as more than a conqueror you’ll never live like one – even though you are one. God’s Word says that the greater One lives in you – that’s talking about Christ in you (Colossians 1:27). That mean’s that there is nothing to fear and nothing impossible for you!

You are full of God! Believe it, see it and you’ll start to live like it.
