God’s Love Shown Through Jesus Christ (2) - Wednesday, 27 December

Some verses on God’s love shown through Jesus Christ (2):

20 I have been crucified with Christ [that is, in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body I live by faith [by adhering to, relying on, and completely trusting] in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”
Galatians 2:20 Amplified (AMP)

20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
Galatians 2:20 King James Version (KJV)

But God, being [so very] rich in mercy, because of His great and wonderful love with which He loved us, even when we were [spiritually] dead and separated from Him because of our sins, He made us [spiritually] alive together with Christ (for by His grace—His undeserved favor and mercy—you have been saved from God’s judgment).”
Ephesians 2:4-5 Amplified Bible (AMP)

But God is so rich in mercy; he loved us so much that even though we were spiritually dead and doomed by our sins, he gave us back our lives again when he raised Christ from the dead—only by his undeserved favor have we ever been saved—”
Ephesians 2:4-5 Living Bible (TLB)

By this the love of God was displayed in us, in that God has sent His [One and] only begotten Son [the One who is truly unique, the only One of His kind] into the world so that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation [that is, the atoning sacrifice, and the satisfying offering] for our sins [fulfilling God’s requirement for justice against sin and placating His wrath]. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us [in this incredible way], we also ought to love one another.”
1 John 4:9-11 Amplified Bible (AMP)

This is how God showed his love to us: He sent his only Son into the world to give us life through him.10 True love is God’s love for us, not our love for God. He sent his Son as the way to take away our sins.11 That is how much God loved us, dear friends! So we also must love each other.”
1 John 4:9-11 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)
