We've got some exciting things to share with you (March'18 Newsletter)

Dear friends and partners,

Back in 2004, my life started to be transformed by the power of the Gospel. I was a Christian and I knew that God loved me, but suddenly I started to experience God’s unconditional love and grace like never before! I was “tasting and seeing” the goodness of God – His unmerited, undeserved, unearned favour and acceptance. One of the many results of this experience with God was GraceLife – planting a church which could help others discover Jesus’ unconditional love and grace. And that’s what we’re all about: helping you taste and see the goodness of God!

We’ve started 2018 off strong. We’ve already seen a few people receive Christ, get baptised in water and the Holy Spirit. We’ve seen a number of healings and miracles, and we’re getting ready to launch another GraceLife campus! Below are a few highlights from the past month and some news to encourage you.

We are really expectant that this is going to be a great year of increasing fruitfulness. Thank you for your faithful partnership – we would not be able to do what we do without your support.

Much love to you,

Shayne & Marna Holesgrove

VISION SUNDAY 2018

We kicked off the month with our annual Vision Sunday at all of our campuses. Every Vision Sunday, Shayne, our lead pastor, takes the opportunity to refresh us in the vision of what God has called us to as a ministry. It’s a Sunday which sets the pace for the rest of the year and encourages members and partners that this is our vision – together we are GraceLife, together we are all a part of the vision,  and together we accomplish the vision that God has given us. You can watch a recording of this message here.

VISION SUNDAY 2018

GraceLife Growth Track is a four-step course designed to help you find freedom in Christ, connect and belong into spiritual family, discover your purpose and learn how you can make a difference in your world. During this past Growth Track we had a number of new people in attendance at all our campuses – we had baptisms in water, people receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and a number of people discovered how they can be a part of making a difference for Jesus. Growth Track is free of charge and is open to whoever would like to come. The next Growth Track session will run every Sunday during the month of May, at every campus.

ALBANIA & UNITED KINGDOM

Shayne and Marna are back after a three-month ministry trip to Albania and United Kingdom. In Albania they looked after the church and did a number of outreaches while the campus pastors, Carel and Alecia were having a home visit to South Africa. During their time in Albania they saw at least one salvation, a number of people receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and countless healing miracles.

Two highlights from Shayne: A former Muslim who is now saved and a member of GraceLife Durrës came forward to help me minister to someone. This guy held someone’s feet to help me see that one leg was shorter than the other. We prayed and this former Muslim could see and feel the leg lengthen! This really impacted him and he couldn’t stop talking about it. The other significant memory I have is when a young man came to me after a service and told me that because of what I said He could now love God more. I had ministered on the love and goodness of God explaining that the thief kills, steals and destroys but Jesus gives life and life abundantly (John 10:10). This young man had wrongly believed that God has killed his mother a year beforehand to punish him, and through the truth of God’s Word he was set free! This opened the door for him to be set free from a lot of other things and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. You could see the change in him instantly and it only increased over the following days.

God is doing great things in and through GraceLife Durrës. Please click here and read through Carel and Alecia’s latest newsletter!

In the United Kingdom, Shayne ministered at the Tree of Life Church’s New Year’s Eve service in London. Shayne and Marna got to minister together at a marriage seminar, and Shayne ministered at Tree of Life Guildford and Croydon. They then headed to Rugeley where they ministered at Will and Barbara Graham’s home church and did some training with their leadership team. All in all, it was a fruitful time of ministry.

INCREASE IN PRETORIA

Towards the middle of 2017, we sent Darren Robbins from Stellenbosch up to Pretoria to lead our Pretoria church campus. Since then the church has certainly been further established. In January 2018, we sent Janno and Moira van Graan from Stellenbosch to Pretoria to join Darren by being a part of his team there.

We are excited about what lies ahead for GraceLife Pretoria! For more information on this campus please click here!
